Cynthia Gamarra was a trained dancer in ballet, modern, and hip hop, but due to her busy college schedule, she was unable to continue dance.
Fortunately, this led to her new hobby, yoga.
In 2010, Cynthia graduated from the School of Visual Arts with a BFA in
Graphic Design. Her hard work and love for design landed her jobs at
prestigious fashion magazine publications. Although she was fortunate to
work with great people and learn valuable lessons, she knew she wanted
more out of her career. Through practicing yoga for years, she found
that the benefits were so life-changing, she wanted to be able to share
the gift of yoga with others. In July 2011 she graduated from the
Kripalu Center as a certified yoga instructor and since her graduation,
she has been devoted to spreading the teachings of yoga and promoting
health and well being to others. Cynthia is now pursuing an MPS in Art
Therapy, in hopes to one day work with adolescent teenaged girls,
refugee women, and children in low income communities. Whether helping
others through Yoga, Art Therapy, or both, she is determined to make
each and every human being feel love.
